Nice1..!! I got one too!
Great! 🙂 Do you know what the criteria were? I'd got quite a few new subscribers over the past year, but wasn't sure if that was the reason.
A lovely gesture!
love to see it 🙌🏻🙌🏾🙌🏼🙌🏽🙌🏿
nice one. i got a hat from you tube lol
😂 A hat? Have you worn it more than once?
No hole to vent the gas?
The gas escapes under the edge of the smaller barrel, it's not a tight seal.
It's not neon it's LEDs under the coloured plastic
Yeah, I put that in the description. A bit silly for it to be called an "led neon sign"
Не унывайте заброшек на ваш век хватит на все залазы у них металла не хватит
why froe is so expensive? I will try with a cheap knife
You're right, they're quite expensive. The problem with a knife is that you don't have much leverage to turn it to split the wood - that's why the froe has a handle at 90° to the blade.
@@mikepepler I have taken yesterday a piece of pine 19x50 and quickly did thin kindling 3x3mm with the knife. That will be enough for starting 10 fires. So I do not need the froe. Very narrow use and very expensive. No need.
That's great! 🙂 The froe is primarily for splitting sweet chestnut poles for fencing, I'm repurposing it for making kindling.
Interesting, where did you get it from please?
I picked that one up at a wood fair or country fair many years ago, you see them around quite a bit. You can buy them new too, Ray Iles and Bristol Design make good ones, I've used both.
Ha almost had me standing next to the car trailer 😎🏴
Hey mate, where did you purchase the case from? Do you have a link or husqvarna part number 🙏🏼
Whole case is 536567901, case without front panel is 599730401. I bought them from oakleysgardenmachinery.co.uk/
You, or anybody else, Doesn't need to Earth any DC setup!!! It could actually Kill You or Somebody else! & Lightning Could be Attracted to the Solar System!!!
The batteries, charge controller and inverter are earthed. The solar panel frames aren't, but in our location there are many higher metal objects than the solar panels, so I decided that was OK.
This behaviour is seen among the male cockatiels or the female ones?
Male
Wicked, love frogies
Great video
Genius.
Impressive have you ever tried Milwaukee M18 battery chainsaw Interested to hear any feedback Anyway all the best to you Mike and take care
I've not tried that one, only other one I've used was a Stihl, which was similar in power but the throttle response was a bit weird, and it had an odd lockout button on the side of the hand grip. Good to hear from you! 🙂
@@mikepepler Good to see you too keeping well to be honest missing them days with chainsaws but on contrary different toys different game and I love it Asked about Milwaukee because last year bought one for a father in law and never had a chance to use it although he had sent me a video using it but video it’s not a same as using it Hope some day catch up with you and say hello 👋 Best regards
Great idea
It's saved me a lot of time over the years! 🙂
I love the idea, am just not that convinced about the design. A lot of fragile looking, easy to break and lose plastic parts to hang the weight bags. Would be awesome if it was designed in a way where one can just use e.g. any string like paracord to hang the weights. A supercapacitor to store some energy to still give some dim light for a while when the strap stops moving (when one is lifting the weight or when the weight reached the bottom) would also be a nice addition.
I agree. It broke a plastic gear after a while. They did make a newer version that added a battery and solar panel, with a simple loop of cord to pull to charge it. But it's quite expensive now. See deciwatt.global/gravitylight
A case of penny-wise,pound-foolish.
F this world im gonna fry myself
Do you think the bird might be seeing it's reflection and thinks there is another bird?
Yes, quite possibly.
Yes!
Is this bourne park near kenley or a different place?
It's near Canterbury.
really beautiful bird btw to the end when asking "is that enough?", him spreading his wings and waiting for the next drop could be a "no" 😆
Yes, I think so! Max is female actually, though we weren't sure of that until an egg was laid!
Vc ja serro eucalipto
No, mostly oak and sweet chestnut. Why do you ask?
@@mikepeplerpq aqui no brasil tem mais e eucalipto. Eu vou reproduzi uma maquina dessa ja fiz a lamina .tenho conversado com alguns amigos eles diseram q nao vai reder igual pq eucalipto e mais duro. @@WashingtonJonasGarciaSobreira I hope it goes well well with your eucalyptus! Oak is quite a hard wood too, so I hope you will be OK with eucalyptus. One thing to know is that the saw disc has four cutting teeth, which can be replaced. The disc is steel, but the cutting teeth are tungsten carbide I think. They're welded on to the disc.
@@WashingtonJonasGarciaSobreira I haven't done any new milling videos in a while, the mill belongs to a friend of mine. It's still in use, although it's a bit old now.

What is the strap with the loop called and how can I get one please?
It's called a turning strap. If you look at a good forestry store you should find one.
Nice 👍
judging by the feather patterns, max is most likely a female
She is. Person who sold her to us, as a juvenile, said she was male. We weren't so sure, so we called her Max, thinking Maxwell or Maxine... Then our other bird Floyd started mating with her, then there were eggs, so now we know for sure! No eggs hatched last time, but they're about to have another go, so we'll see what happens...
For gods sake. Talk to him and kiss him or scratch him in the neck or next to the beak.
Don't worry, he got plenty of that 🙂 Sadly he passed away a couple of years ago now, but we have two more, this time a breeding pair.
@@mikepepler Oh nice. Good you have a huge bath for them in non toxic, lead free glass.
If you speak with them happily and encouragingly they will bath happily more easily. Birds get more confident when you talk with them and will do things more if you speak. They are very sensitive.
Good that you make a big bath and that it is transparent glass, as it is lead free. Pillivuyt or a stone bath would also be lead free. They could take a bath every week, or every other day in the summer.
He is really beautiful.
She, actually. We weren't sure when we got her, but eggs have been laid... Her colours are great, I love the mix of grey and yellow.
interesting technique. wouldn't carry a special strap for that alone but it's easy enough to improvise.
I love how they have a ahard time balancing, yet what they stand on all day is a *tiny stick* (Well not really but still)
its because of the way bird-feets work, they kinda lock in place as soon they perch, the only way to open their foot is by lifting it up. now you have an perch swinging up and down, which means whenever it swings down the bird will partially loose its grip since his entire body pulls up for a second. they dont have muscles to close or open their feets/toes, also explains why they dont fall when sleeping. worth to do a youtube search about bird feets, its a really interesting topic
Nice tip. I do a lot tree work on our property, mostly using Silky hand saws. I often use downed long, hardwood trees to move logs around. I'm always amazed what you can do with leverage and the problem solving works the brain!
I like it. I wonder if instead of using an actual turning strap you could just take 10 foot of 1/2” rope, tie a running bowline, then tie a double fishermans to hold it in place, then add the couple wraps around … then tie another double fishermans to make the eyelet for the lever pole… might experiment with that. Great vid
I expect you could. Here's another version, using a sling and a winch to roll a hung up tree: ua-cam.com/video/jGxY0tbUff4/v-deo.html

It's a bit of a niche use case.

That's not a tree, it's a little twig. Try that with a meter diameter oak.
No thanks! 😂 It serves a purpose for small trees. We're cutting coppice most of the time on a 20-30 year rotation, so the trees don't get time to grow very large.
@@mikepepler Thankfully, meter diameter oaks don't often hang. Play safe. Cheers
Tremendous hack!
Clever but still dangerous.
I think all work in the woods has an element of danger, it's a matter of thinking through the risks and mitigating them. Winch is safer, but heavy to carry around.
You turning that tree looks like a wind up.
😂
